I would find it quite offensive and racist. Yes, it's a slang term, but it's use indicates that it is derogatory.
I get irritated when someone tells me how much I must love chocolate since my fiancee is black.

Yes 100% racist. It is tantamount to calling "Asian" (as Americans use the term) 'yellow'....No better than "n*gger" - just without the historical background to make it so offensive in the US. It demeans using race.

those people are suffering from a rare disease called rectal cranial submersion, the cure is easy, but they cant seem to find the way.. ignore them just like a new book, dont judge by whats on the cover, read the entire book, you might just find soemthing amasing you`ll like.

asian people have yellowish color skin. Im 1/2 asian and people used to say I was like a bananna, yellow on the outside and white on the inside. its pretty funny to me

I think it is offensive, I don't think anyone has ever said that to grandfather(black) when he fell in love with my grandmother(chinese). Putting it in the same name as a disease is wrong.

It can be either offencive or just teasing...
you shouldn't buther too much though, I'm European and I still think some Asian people are much nicer and more intelligent than other "colours", so you should just "put the words to your back", ignore them
