I am about 24 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. My first I had natural, second I had c-section. (Just for some background) I am just now getting big enough where I'm getting a little uncomfortable, I'm obviously pregnant, and I have no option but to wear maternity clothes.... Lately I have had a heavy feeling in my vaginal area... not just the inside but the outside too... I know it's not necessary but I feel like I almost need to hold it sometimes because it hurts so much. Should I be concerned?

I'm not an expert on this, but I gave birth to 6, to me it sounds like you are carrying the baby very low, putting a lot of pressure on you. Try to stay off your feet as much as possible, at least don't stand for long periods of time. One thing I can tell you is although you've already had two children, each pregnancy is different, I had one son who was very low, he was a big baby and I was very miserable, looked like I had a beach ball , couldn't close my legs when I sat, and couldn't hardly get up! If you are worried, speak to your doctor. Good luck!

Not sure, but I would try Kegel exercises. This might help tone up the muscles in that area. Try this website: http://www.childbirth.org/articles/kegel.html

i agree with theresa...your probably jst carrying the baby low...i'm carrying my son low and i feel the same things you do...i told my doctor about it and he told me to stay off my feet, because the more you are on your feet, and the more you feel the pressure, the more it thins you out and helps you dialate...so i would stay off my feet for a while...if the pain is still there, you should talk to your doctor about it...
