Let's see now.

If you want to build one storied house, you would need,
2 cards. (obviously!)
If you want to build two storied house, you would need,
7 cards.

/\ = 2
_ = 1
/\/\ = 4

If you want to build three storied house, you would need,
15 cards.

/\ = 2
_ = 1
/\/\ = 4
__ = 2
/\/\/\ = 6
------------------
Total = 15

The general formula for this would be,

3N-1, where N represents the floor number you want to build. This formula will give you the cards required for that particular floor. Now add them up and you got the following.

Sigma (1, N) -> 3N-1.

Now let's test this.

To build a three storied building,

Sigma (1, 3) -> 3N-1, which means the following.

First floor (3(1)-1) + Second floor (3(2)-1) + Third floor (3(3)-1) = 2+5+8 = 15 Cards.

For 25 Stories, you would have to calculate from 1 to 25 just like this. A scientific calculator can give you the answer right away.

Note: I used the word Sigma because I don't have any way of using that sign in here.
I hope this helps!!
