I went to a family individuals gathering very last week, Merry Christmas replaced into the greeting absolutely everyone used, although Santa Claus, Elves, timber and presents were the subject of the day, many human beings say Merry Christmas as a convention, it has not some thing to do with faith. after I say Merry Christmas to someone, I oftentimes listen chuffed vacation trips in go back. With some human beings you may tell through the inflection and tone of voice that it replaced into meant as a correction, at the same time I take care of a few those who i understand are muslim, i does not provide a Merry Christmas greeting to them out of appreciate. i imagine lots human beings experience that there has been an attempt to get rid of classic u . s . a . of america, that is obvious even as a save starts to promote vacation timber.

I dont think it is offending to other people who have moved there. And i doubt very much 99.9% of them would say it was either. I think it is more down to nervous politicans frankly. Here in West London we have community celebrations for Christmas, Diwali (Hindu/Sikh), Eid (Muslim), and Vaisakhi (Sikh). None is offending to the other as long as each os allowed to celebrate their religious festival. In addittion members who are not part of theother religion will often take part in the celebrations of another - just making sure to avoid any overtly religious parts. You can participate in the joy surrounding another's religious festival, so long as you dont disrespect your own by buying into their religious practices.

HUH??? What????
Who's stealing Christmas from the Christians?????
btw Xmas isn't the ONLY winter religious celebration...remember Hannika (or however you spell it) and now we have Kwanza (I don't know what it is either) and any store worth its business sense would cater to all those celebrations during the season.
HELL, get mad when AMERICAN holidays go like Thanksgiving, not when people recognize that xmas isn't' the only holiday this season...

Who said you couldn't say Merry Christmas, or any other thing you want to say?
Just don't get ticked off if I choose to say Happy Holidays. or Kwanzaa...or whatever I personally feel like celebrating.
USA is about freedom AND diversity.....not freedom FROM diversity.

We shouldn't have to lose them, and I will say Merry Christmas not Happy Holidays... bump that I should not have to be ashamed of being a christian.

Screw 'em
And Christmas IS NOT an American thing. It is a CHRISTIAN thing (of course, 85 % of America claims to be Christian, but hey, why not let a small minority rule what we can and cannot say, right?).

I think people that oppose it should should stop whining like sniveling children. If they don't like it they shouldn't have come here. We have to respect their practices so, to me at least, it should go both ways.
