Cats = Smokey and Gandalf
Dogs = Shadow and Sammy
Sammy was actually chosen by my wife for Sarah McLachlan's initials - her middle name is Ann, so SAM became Sammy. Shadow was my mother's dog, which we inherited when she died.
Just sold our horse - his name was Fred, but that was his name when we got him.
Lost a cat recently when he got outside and ran away. His name was Mr. Fluff because he was very, very fluffy.
Most of these were named by my kids, except Gandalf.

i have quite a few pets here so bear with me. ok here goes:
i have 2 tarantulas: brazilian white knee named bugsley. it was the first name i came up with. she is my baby.
a chilian rosehair named kandy. yes it's girly, but it fits her. she's cute and pinkish with a bit of an attitude.
i have 9 rats. i will go by cagemates. cha-cha and tushie are my first rats to ever have. they are old and the sweetest guys in the world. i have no idea why i named cha-cha. the first thing that came to mind i guess. tushie because he is all white, but with a brown smudge on his nose. i thought brown-noser, but couldn't name him such. so tushie it is.
wimbeldon(not spelled wrong), ocho, and caboose. the first two i named because it was the first thing that came to me. caboose is named after a parody of the halo game called red vs. blue. my husband loves them so he got to name him. sigh.....
then there are my ladies. these are my baby girls. they are the most loving and energetic little creatures i have ever had the blessing of knowing. there is sylvie named after my favorite werewolf from the anita blake series. tinkerbell is my little socialite. she loves people and to bounce and climb all over the place. hence her name. peaches is my little minion. she is as beautiful as she can be. she is champagne in color with siamese markings. i called her peaches because she is just a sweetheart and also has an evil side too. then the newest member is tex. she is named so because, again, of red vs. blue. the character is tough and sweet at the same time. just love my little ratties!
almost done. i promise.
i have an emperor scorpion named uncle rico. yes, i am a fan of napoleon dynamite. actually, my husband named him.
then there is my giant african millipede named nacho libre. yes, after the movie. i either call her nacho or ms. thang. both fit.
so this is my menagerie.

Let's see...dogs: Angel, Kodi (short for a Kodiak bear because he's huge), Angelina, Peanut, Jewel, Taco (his name is Sparky, but he looks more like a Paco, but my mom thought I said Taco).
There's a cow out back (i kinda live on a farm) who's name is Little Girl (it's funny because she's weighs over 300 lbs.)
There's also a pot-bellied pig out back who I named Myron (I was reading a book and the main character's name was Myron).
