Just ignore them. There's not a lot you can do about people like them. You could always insult them back, but you know that would be wrong. You could stay in a group of girlfriends (or guyfriends) that would help protect you. You could notify the schoolboard, but the likelyhood of them doing anything about it is very low. Oh! A really cool idea is to do something special to your jeans, or at least to one pair. You could draw on them, or tie them up specially (like capris) or you could just make up something! Maybe wear a cool belt and always make sure that you look and smell nice. You don't have to be "cool" per say, but if you have a nice, sleek style then you won't have to worry about them. This is great because it costs nothing! Other things you can do are: 1. wear inexpensive jewlery (just not something cheap looking) 2. Do something with you hair every day. It doesn't have to be fancy, just fun. A messy bun, curly, straight, pulled up in a pony tail, pig tails, crimped etc. Well, that's about all I can think of right now! Also, don't worry about what other people think of you. The main reason I listed all of those things above that you can do to yourself, was for your benefit, not theirs. If you feel good about how you look, then it doesn't matter how everybody else looks at you.
P.S. I only have 3 pairs of jeans too! :D

The only reason they pick on you is because they've figured out that it gets to you. Bullies have a way of doing that. They do it because it elicits a certain reaction from you. They do it to get that reaction, and when they get it, it makes them feel "big" or "important". It also helps them cover up their own insecurities. Don't give them what they are looking for, and the odds are they'll start picking on someone else. Avoid them, ignore them, and when you can't do either one DON'T let them see that it upsets you. Remember, if they aren't picking on you, they're probably picking on someone else.
Kids are awfully cruel to each other. I don't know exactly why, but I can tell you that in a "few" years, none of it will matter anymore. It doesn't happen like that in the adult world.

well first of all having three pairs of jeans is nothing to be ashamed of...jeans are jeans I have a hard time believing they can tell the difference. Also obviously for them to tell the difference they must be paying pretty close attention to you...they might be just teasing you because they like you and want to find a way to get your attention without letting you know they like you. I would tell them to stop and tell them how it makes you feel when they say hurtful things like that. If they don't stop the best thing to do is ignore them, they want a reaction from you and if you don't give them one chances are they will find something or someone new to pester...I hope things in your life get better..best of luck sweetie!

Regrettably, bullys will be bullies....which means they are hard to stop. The BEST thing to do is ignore them, though that is probably as hard as getting them to stop.
You might try smiling sweetly and saying something like "Oh thanks for noticing my jeans...I love them, they are so wonderfully comfortable now that they are broken in, I wouldn't trade them for a zillion pairs of new jeans."
Or if you want to risk it you might try your version of "Hey guys, just get over it, I'm bored with your repeated jabs at my wardrobe. Don't you have something better to do than bother me?"
After both, turn around and leave if possible or bury your nose in a schoolbook.
Hope this helps and you have NOTHING to be ashamed of....they are the ones who are cheesy creeps. What matters is ALWAYS what is in your heart -- I'd personally rather a large caring family to "fancy" clothes!
Take care,
Alley

Ignore them hard, or better yet, act really bored with them. Acting bored makes them realize they've lost the game. And if they don't stop, just take pleasure in knowing that a bunch of insensitive jerks like them have long, unsuccessful lives ahead of them--people skills and compassion are necessary for success.

This is not a joke. The next time one of them picks on you, pick the biggest one, kick him in the nuts and then proceed to whip his ***. I guarantee you will not have to worry about anybody picking on you after that.

I would tell them that your family is having a hard time and that your father is dying and to please give you a brake. Maybe if they know alittle it might make them see things differently.
