My Hubby and his Mother have.

In the house they live in when he was a baby, the previous owner killed himself in the back bedroom because his wife left him.

The ghost hated woman, and used to poke my MiL all night. He also pushed her down the stairs when she was pregnant.

They have been back to the house since, and there was a squatter living there and said that the last tenants we a load of female students, who just left the house screaming in the middle of the night.

My in-laws also now tell me that there was a ghost in my old house, in my son's bedroom. And whenever they came to stay it kept waking them up and throwing fireballs at them.

Poltergeist activity is a phenomena that really fascinates me. It's a German word for noisy ghost and there have been recording of activity throughout the years. The most haunted house with poltergeist activity was Borley Rectory on the Essex/Suffolk border. The house has long since gone but people still go to the site to the churchyard that is situated next door. It's still classed today as the most haunted house in England. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stayed there and recorded poltergeist activity. I have been to the site that the house was built on and it has the most unnerving feel about it and I was very happy when it was time to leave.

I have had many experiences with 'ghosts', far too many to share here - I see them all the time and it's just a part of life for me. However, one memorable experience, one of the first that I remember vividly, is from being on a residential holiday in Scotland. I was walking back to my accomodation with a friend when we both saw a woman in victorian teachers clothing walk past us, through a bench, through a buush and into the wall of a building. Both of us saw her, which is possibly why I feel this is a more valid story as it can be corroborated. The following year, when we went back there, the new warden told us some of the history of the camp, including the story of a teacher and her lover who had been burned alive in the building in the victorian era. Its quite sad to think that her essence is trapped and has been for nearly 100 years. If I ever go back there I think I will ask her if she want's to be released from her vigil of walking her final path to meet her lover, she must be tired by now.

Yes, although people i told wouldn't believe me! I stayed at the Redbrook Hunting Lodge hotel near Whitchurch in Shropshire several years ago. The room I had was the first floor, front left as you look at the front of the hotel. It had a huge 4 Poster Bed and was quite pleasant with a smallish en-suite bathroom. I was woken at 4.00am by a loud persistent knocking on the door, followed by being pinned to the bed for what seemed like about 30 seconds or so, buy an invisible heavy immovable weight of some type.

I was terrified and immediately I was able to sit up in the bed, I turned on the lamp and lit a cigarette to calm my nerves.

I eventually nodded off again, but at around 5.00am exactly the same thing happened, loud knocking followed by being pinned to the bed for around 30 seconds or so.

The lamp was still on and the butt of my cigarette in the ashtray, so I knew that the events were not a fanciful dream. I didn't actually see anything at all during these 2 events, just heard the knocks on the door and felt this huge weight pressing down on me.

I showered and left the hotel without paying the bill and went to attend my 7.00am business meeting. Some weeks later, I contacted Hotel to apologise for my hasty departure and fortunately the bill had been paid in any event by my company.

The owner (Mike) said he thought it was room 6 that was haunted, not the one I stayed in!!

This happening unsettled me for weeks afterwards and still makes me shiver even now as i relate the story to you.

This really did happen exactly as described.

Yes When i was 10 , i was at my Friends house at approx 9.30pm his father came in walked straight past us an into the back yard to feed the dog`s , nothing out of the ordinary , he did the same thing every night ! ( he bred greyhound`s )
Then at approx 10pm there was a knock at the door , it was the police telling my mates mum that her husband had been killed in a car crash ,There must be a mistake she told them , My husband is out the back feeding his dog`s , When they went out to look He was not there ! He was killed in a car crash on his way back from the dog racing , but we all saw him come in and go out the back yard ! Never ever went back to his house again after that he still lives in the same house now and i still won`t go in there . There is also a poltergeist in our local fire station the fire men have woke to find a ice cold room with strange smell`s and actually feel as if someone is sitting on their chest`s , it was in the local paper about 2 years ago . you can try searching the evening gazette archives for the story in middlesbrough.

A few years ago, I was at work and locking up. The buildings that I was locking are very old and had stuff inside that was even older. I went inside and called up the stairs (it is a small building) that I was locking up. I turned off the lights and locked the door. I took a couple of steps and a woman said that I had locked a little girl in. I looked and a little girl sat on the steps. As I opened the door, she went up the steps. I got the door open and ran up the steps. The room was empty. It is about 6x10 and there was no place for her to hide and no other door.

On November the 4th i was watching fireworks at Fort Amherst in Kent when i noticed a german shepherd sitting in a gateway, i went to investigate and nothing was there and no evidence of a dog. Shortly before i left the dog appeared again this time infront of our group and tilted its head, studying me. Two of us saw it and described it exactly the same. My mother asked the owner of the Fort if they had a dog and he said that apparently, in 1995 there was a stray German Shepherd up there that had died and my description matched that.
Since this experience we have noticed light anomalies in the back garden which seem to have only be seen by me and my mum. Last night i had just finished watching a film when a totally stable pile of papers in my small cupboard had fallen over, i went to put them back and they hadn't been touched. I sat back down and the Remote that was in the centre of the sofa opposite me seemed to have been thrown off. I went to go to bed, being quite nervous now and something huge and white rushed past the back door, i went to look and the garden was clear, nothing...

Let's see, mine started at the age of five.I was playing with my cousins at my Grandmothers house and we were playing around a small storage house out back. We were peeking through the keyhole during this game, when the door started violently shaking and there was pounding on the door(which was padlocked). My Grandmother was out on a date one night and was on her way home. There was a bridge that you had to cross to get to the house. Her date offered to take her down the little road, but she said she saw her mother there waiting for her.She got out of the car and walked across the bridge and down the lane, when she got up to what she thought was her mother,it sunk into the ground. When she got in the house she described what she had seen and my great grandmother told her she had seen her mother that had died many years before. I ,myself ,have heard voices of deceased family members ,seen people that aren't there when you look again, and have had dreams that have come true. It seems to have been passed to my 11 year old daughter because she tells me about seeing this girl at her school and here at the house. She is dressed in the old turn of the century clothes with the button up shoes and long brown hair pulled back with a pink ribbon and reading a book. AND THERE ARE JUST SOOOOO many other experiences that it is ridiculous, but after awhile you kinda get used to it.

Yes I have. My old place I used to live in every other night my stereo would turn on in the middle of the night blaring. My television would turn on after I turned it off, also it would turn on late at night blaring. I would wake up in the morning and all my cupboards would be open. I even had a glass slide across the counter by itself. I would catch shadows out of the corner of my eye. Lots of little things like missing my wallet and keys. Then they would turn up in very odd places that I know for a fact I would never put them there. Also the bathroom faucets would be running in the middle of the night. Iam just glad I don't live there anymore.

Too many to document....... its a regular occurance at our house. But then I seem to attract this sort of phenomena. Believe me something happened this evening which has really scared the cr4p out of me.
At the weekend I have got a paranormal team coming in to try and find out what is going on here. Previsit a couple of weeks ago were indicating some very odd information which relates to dead relatives of mine. But I am sure my dead relatives wouldn't be out to scare me like this.
