If were talking about the current crop of NBA players, based on Kevin Martin's performance, I have to agree with you.

Martin has a lot to look forward to in the off-season as it is a contract year. I'm pretty sure that he is going to get a big bump in his paycheck which currently pays him a million.

Hope this helps.

Kevin Martin is the most underated, Sorry but no. Who said Kevin Martin Sucks, nobody, He is havin a good year and many people like me projected him to have a good year because he played so well at SG last year coming off the bench after Bonzi Wells. You cant wait 5 games and say he is underated. The most underated player to me is Gilbert Arenas he averages 30 and 8 and is an amazing leader. But if you ask someone who are the top ten players in the NBA they wouldnt say Gilbert Arenas eventhough every sports anaylst knows he is one of the best players in the NBA

definately not Arenas. underrated? hmm Nenad Krstic (NJ), Chris Kaman (LAC), but i think more so Kirk Hinrich. He will lead the Bulls far into the playoffs (i say lose in conf champ). 20 pts, 8 ast average is pretty reasonable. but i think undervalued is Jason Kidd with all this Steve Nash talk. Kidd is way better defensively (Arenas 6-23, 25 points [9 came from the line] in an OT game, Allen 22 points) and is a better rebounder than most Fs. these guys can hit 40 easily. Sure he wont score as much, but hell with VC and RJ (when healthy) and now Krstic, 15 ppg is sufficient.

Kevin Martin is doing well (and probably is the most underrated), but there are also various others vying for that spot, such as Odom (who is not necessarily as talented as Martin, but he has greatly influenced the team this year and last)

Martin:
Scoring K. Martin 23.8
Assists: 2
steals: 1.8
FG% K. Martin 54.7
FT% K. Martin 93.2
3PT% K. Martin 34.8

Odom:
Scoring 19.6
Rebounds 8.9
Assists 5.8

Either Kirk Hinrich or Luke Walton. Hinrich is kind of a star, but he really should be an all-star with his amazing offense and his grit on defense. He is also a great leader and was on Team USA, but he isn't exactly a household name yet. Walton is a really good role player who is finally getting minutes to excel this year. He has a great all-around game that really fits in the Lakers system well. Averaging over 13pts. 5rebs. and 5ast. per game already.

I think Joe Johnson of the Hawks is the most underrated because you never really hear about him, maybe it is because he plays for the hawks!
