Try this site:
http://www.gamecontinue.com
Download and/or CD burn from your choice of over 800 million files.
It's not exactly free, however; there is a fee of at least $19.95 (depends on which plan you choose; 1 year, 2 years, etc.) for tech support. But with so many files to choose from, it's well worth it. And there's no monthly fee like GameTap.
In addition to games, there's also music, videos, add-ons, and cheats.
Worth checking out! Good luck!

Kev, AQ and Dragon Fable are 2D. Rick, RuneScape uses Sun MicroSystem's Java, and again, AQ is not 3D.
I recommend these 2 good MMO's. They are download though.

The two download games on there are FlyFF (Fly For Fun is very well known) and Space CowBoy online (Online Sci-Fi shooting RPG. You pilot futuristic fighter jets)
