MACEDONIA is a very beautiful country!! As for the Greek or MACEDONIAN above me and below me it is pretty sad to see you guys cover up the truth about MACEDONIA because the Greek government taught you that way!! It looks like to me that you guys are pretty dam scared of such a (todays) small country MACEDONIA!! Why? Are you guys scared of the truth? The world already knows about you guys!! You ask about a country named Macedonia As far as I know there is not such a country. There is FYROM a communist product of the second war where Slavs and Albanians live among with Turks ,Gypsies etc trying to survive ready to explode if Albanians decide.It lies in 10 per cent of ancient Greek
Macedonia.As we all know ALEXANDER was Greek was a student of ARISTOTLE and delivered the Greek language in all the word.I live in Thessaloniki and see that someone above me signs as Solun which means Thessaloniki.Does he like my city?Does he want to conquer me?

As there is still no country named Macedonia the only use of this name describes the macedonia region which is one of the most beautiful regions of Greece.If you mean the Former Yuguslav Republic of Macedonia which is the small country once belonging to Yuguslavia and its in the north border of Greece then my opinion is this. This country has strong ethnicity problems which are mainly to the fact that its population is consisted of Slavs,Albanians,Bulgarians,Roma and others. An attempt to unite all these people and make them feel more ethnik has been made by trying to name the country Macedonia and connecting it to the glorious history of the greek region of Macedonia.
Its economy is not good and is based on foreign investements from Greece and Bulgaria. Instead of trying to be a country of stability and cooparate with its neighbours in order to survive, it keeps creating problems to the balkans due to an outgoing propaganda in order to alter history and by making outrageous claims over Greece's history and lands. This way it has no future of ever joining the EU or surviving as country.
Most of the people living in this country are victims of this fanatic propaganda and are not to be blamed totally but its in their own interest to change this . Fortunately there are many openminded people living there as well that are willing to develop good neighbouring relations. I would personally like to see this country develop and grow up as long as it doesnt offend other nations

Macedonia would be an interesting place to visit especially if you wanted to see the Balkans before the war.

It doesn't get much coverage but that is due to the fact that it had one of the more peaceful transitions from being part of Yugoslavia.
