My son is 11 months old and I was wondering how many ounces of water he should be drinking now. He is off formula and drinks milk and water and eats really well

Each child is different. I have four children (three girls and a boy). Two of my daughters nursed for six months then we switched them to formula until about a year. My other daughter and son were both big infants and were insatiable. They both nursed for a few months, but it never satisfied them, so we switched to formula (which is heavier) for a couple a months. They were both drinking milk, and eating rice cereal and baby food, before a year old. I would agree with the above poster who said 8-12 oz. of water should be fine for a baby that is drinking milk and eating really well.

He really should still be on formula or breastmilk. Does his doctor know he's off formula?

Every child is DIFFERENT and people should not be chastising you for your son being on whole milk.
