I am a very average looking person the likes of one you might see every day when you are out and about doing your things in life, in buses, in the metro, in the park or shopping. I am also almost insignificant in my environment with out any significant accomplishments in my record or any major role to play. My educational achievements along side my career track record is all very mediocre and worthy of no notice at all. I have problems of my own that no one else like to take interest into. I get frustrated, irritated and annoyed often at small matters that I cannot even make part of my conversation with any other person. Women do not bother too look at me twice and if they find me attractive I do not believe that they mean any good. I have financial problems.
The idealistic thoughts and attitude that I induced in my early days at college has dissipated in the grind of real life experiences. I often find little that can interest me. I feel envious about people who take so much interest in small things like mobile phones, plasma televisions, gadgets and cars. I cannot become part of normal conversation easily as this bothers me most. I have to tap into deep philosophical thoughts in order to realise that I am still relevant. People wont remember me for that after parties. They find me an interrupting and dangerous person who makes them feel self-conscious, who can makes them think his own obsolete way of thinking.
This is all true. This is me, an insignificant and very average looking person the likes of one you might see every day when you are out and about doing your things in life, in buses, in the metro, in the park or shopping. But he whole thing changes. The life suddenly becomes dramatic like a science fiction movie. Everything comes into life. People object, they criticise, they plan and [plot against me, they show their admiration and appreciation in various subtle ways, they feel jealous about my abilities, my strengths and my talents. They cannot believe that an average person like me, the one out of them too many can be like this. This all happens when I realise that I am a human being. When I claim my right to be one, when I simply try to be myself. Yes, this is I - a unique individual, and I like to be this way.

I feel it is a fallacy to argue that we all have one quality which makes us unique.
Consider the flag of the USA. It is unique. However, there are other red, white and blue flags. There are other flags with stars. There are other flags with stripes. There are even other flags with a field in the upper left corner. There isn't any one trait which makes the flag of the US unique. What makes the flag unique is the specific way all those other traits are combined.

My DNA, my conscience, my opinion of what is beautiful and my appearence. To think anything else about you is unique in the universe it rather vain and arrogant unless you are a genius in the same vein as Beethoven which unfortunatley no alive today is.

I've been told that I'm very outgoing, and i agree with that. I'm always one of the first to volunteer for something, I've been in all of my school's theatrical productions, and I'm always the one in my circle of friends who plans what we're all going to do. Yes, this quality can be annoying to some, but i don't care, this is who i am.
God Bless You, Have A Wonderful Day!!

I think that only our biological make up is what distinguishes us from each other. Tattoos, scarification and consumerism doesn't assist in making us individual but thats why we buy into it. We fall into the trap of trying to be individual by all buying the same music, clothes, accessories. Of course in doing so we all become the same, oh the days when nobody had heard of james blunt and I could play him loud for a minority, now everybody is sick of him, shame. Individuality? Yes I remember that concept, once upon a time...

A really strong sense of loyalty and principles. And the fact that I'm the only bloke in the area to wear cowboy boots. However I do have suspicions that there maybe other men wearing cowboy boots too.

I'm the only one like me. No one else is, has been or ever will be me. And the same applies to you. Congratulations on being you. You are wonderfully unique. Just like every other person ever born and to be born yet.
Isn't it great being US?

this is fun. i will narrow myself down to a unique individual in 5 steps:
1.) i am a veteran of OIF
2.) i am a truck driver and i live in my truck w/o a physical addy
3.) i am working on my bachelors degree in CIS online
4.) i think Bush is doing a good job and i love microsoft
...okay we'll just make it four things. ...i might be the only one on the entire planet earth who is all four of those things. thats what makes me unique.

In a grand scheme of things, no one is unique. Every corkiness I have, someone on this world has it or have a potential for it. But it is not a specific characteristic of me that is unique, but combination of the corkiness makes me one and only me. I am one of one.
God told me so. Ha!
