I just had a son, and had alot of complications after he was born. i am going on my 2nd Lap. within 9 months. I've had morphene, and pain killers. That is not something I want to ever have to do, as I don't want to live on medicine. Any suggestions at all (even if it is medicine)?

Actually, for me it's a lot more simple than anything like prescription pain medication. All I do is go to my local Herb Store, there you will find these tablets that dissolve under your tongue. There is one that will either be labeled PMS or Cramps. They work wonders. I've had Endometriosis for 6 years, and that's the ONLY thing that will help me other than Magnesium tablets. They are supposed to be a natural muscle relaxer. Just be careful, the magnesium will make the IBS symptoms that the endometriosis causes worse. Hope you feel better!

I have endometrisosis as well. What was done for me was I tried different meds. i tried birth control to regulate my periods-didnt work, I tried 2 different meds for cramping-didnt work, and I also tried a hormone pill to stop my periods in hopes that it would ease the pain-also didnt work. I ended up getting an ablation done which is not for someone that may want more kids because it burns the uterine lining off and I also had a D&C that same day. Due to those procedures I had to have a hysterctomy because I started bleeding in my uterus after the ablation. Look into those options though if you dont want more kids because they do ease the pain and make the cramps go away although it doesnt cure it because there is no cure for endometriosis

my mom has it and once you have the surgery which is successful generally for about 2-10 years the pain will go away completely.
the doctor goes in through your vaginal opening and lazers off all the "scar tissue" created by the endometriosis. well at least all that isnt attached to organs or located in impossible to reach locations.
eventually when you are no longer in want of children you can have your uterus removed and you will never have to worry about endometriosis again

I have to tell you that I live w/ endo pain every day. I am on pain meds to help but the best thing that I have found to help is something called a Cura Heat pad. It's like a heating pad w/out the cord....you just put it on the area that hurts. it warms up for 12 hours. You can find them at Walgreens, Oscos. They have a website www.curaheat.com. they have a whole list of places that sell these. You must try them.

Several of my friends and one of my sister in laws have endometriosis. They help theirs by getting surgery but you really need to study the condition. Make sure you cut out any foods you shouldnt consume and eat more stuff that can help with inflamation and etc. I once read in the Ultimate smoothie bible book a daily smoothie to help keep endometriosis symptoms to a minimum.

Endometriosis,IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment; IUI, ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. The cost is very low and the medical services are very good in India.
My cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the Forerunners Healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full IVF treatment in India for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the newspapers. I have also read about a Chinese couple who planned surrogacy through the Forerunners Healthcare. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery and infertility treatment like IVF, IUI, and ICSI abroad for low price. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery and treatment can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Try aspirin. Talk to another doctor, ask him about any new drugs, get a second opinion.
