1. Auto Body Shop Office Manager

2. Stress depends on the day. Crazy customers, parts coming in wrong, etc. Every day has a different stress level

3. I have a BA in accounting but can't say that it was necessary.
Experience would be learned, you need to know vehicles, insurance company policies, have computer skills, etc. As for benefits, I work for a small company with a sole proprietor, benefits are not available. For a larger company such as a dealership, they should be available.

4. As for pay range, it depends on where you live. I live in a very rural area so the pay rate isn't super high but neither is the cost of living (I currently make 28K per year). This job in larger areas can pay a lot higher.

5. The pro's - I get very cheap vehicle repairs and my boss is great. The con's - I'd rather be at home.

6. Likes - I learn something new every day. The automotive and insurance industry are constantly changing, not necessarily for the better. Dislikes - See likes.

7. I love my job and would definately do this again.

8. Advice, as a woman, you need to be able to be around men being men, you can't be overly sensitive.

9. Day's activities - Write estimates, contact customers, order parts, account for income, pay the bills, pay the employees, be sarcastic with the boss (that's a big one!! lol).

10. Career paths? Well as an office manager, I can't really see it going any further unless you wish to get into the actual body work itself. Not for me though, I like my little cushy job that let's me go on Y/A whenever I like.

PHEW!! That's a lot of typing!!!!
