You can't precisely work out from your discharge when you are due for your period, but you can work out from your discharge when you are most likely to get pregnant.
Make yourself a little (private) discharge chart. Make the days of your period with a red cross, then each day after that write down what your discharge is like. Straight after your period there might not be much at all, maybe you will feel rather dry. Then it will be scanty and 'dry' and thick and then as your ovulation approaches it will become thinner and runnier and more and more slippery - like uncooked egg white. Then after those few days, it gradually gets drier and thicker again.
The slippery mucous is the most welcoming to sperm. It can't swim through the thick stuff!
The ovulation kits on the market are good - though probably expensive. You just urinate on a stick and it tells you when you are most fertile.
Good luck!

When I had periods( I'm on cerrezette, don't know if I spelt it right! Its a mini pill and I haven't had a period for 3 years) the discharge usually came at around the middle of my cycle, so it was around the time I was most fertile, but everyone is different. You could try recording a period diary with all the mood changes along with bodliy changes to give you an idea about how you react to your cycle. We tend to take things for granted about our bodies.

when it is at its thinnest then it allows the sperm to flow. There are lots of factors to allow for as well including dates but I have four children and havent got pregnant in six years by knowing my body. When your period is due your vagina will swell and your cervix will drop lower down and your period will arrive within 2-3 days it will also cause your cervix to widen and flatten. If you are pregnant your cervix will stay high and unchanged. I hope this helps GOOD LUCK

The best time to get pregnant is 4 days after your period. You can go online and look for a ovulation calender and it can tell you when your most fertile and go from there.

Sticky mucous discharge - becomes thicker and elasticated (Sorry if that sounds crude )
Has to be that way to stop old sperm fighting its way through as it would not be fresh and healthy.
