Well, I'm 13 yrs old. Usually things needed by 13 yrs old are cute gifts. It depends upon it's personality. If she's acts like guy I preffered to give a visor. If she's sweet... I'll give stuffed toys or a ipod if you can.

Movie ticket gift cards, a lot of theatres have something like them. Include popcorn and those big boxes of candy. Or get her a cool movie and give it with popcorn, candy, etc.
Gift certificates are also always nice.

I would give her something that would show her how much you appreciate her friendship. Or you could always go with throwing her a surprise birthday party.

ask her what store she likes. then get her a purse from that store with a wallet and stick a giftcard in the wallet
