I will tell you a little story. I was going to be named Katherine after my grandmother. My aunt and uncle adopted a little girl a month before I was born and they named her Kathlene. Then my parents felt they couldn't use the chosen name for me. I have always felt cheated just becasue my cousin was born first. My cousin has always been called Kathy. I could of been Kate Or Katie, or plain ole Katherin. I am old now and I still with my parents had stuck to my chosen name.
Jack and jackson are different enough. If you can't get your hubby to agree, use it as a middle name. but really to me the names are good. Jack and Jackson.

1. You could make Jackson the middle name.
2. You could suggest that you only call him Jackson, no Jack.
3. You could tell him if he wants to go through labor, then he can name the baby.
4. You could pick a name similar to Jackson such as Jachai or Mackison (Mac).
5. You could suggest Jake as a nickname for Jackson.
6. You could simply not budge on the issue and name him Jackson.

I LOVE the name Jackson too! I went to school with a kid named Jackson Taylor (middle name) he got called JT sometimes, but mostly Jackson, never Jack. Anyway if you don't mind JT consider Jackson...something with a T.

If that is what your heart is set on, then choose it. We were deciding between Ethan and Cameron, and my heart was set on Ethan... my husband really loved Cameron... I like them both, but for some reason, I felt strongly for Ethan. So my husband said ok. our next son will be named Cameron :) Look for other names, see what your husband thinks, and then if Jackson still is the one really talk to him about it. I'm sure he won't mind- Jackson is not Jack... and it doesn't matter anyways.... my mom named my brother Taylor- my cousin had wanted that name for her girl someday... well she ended up with a girl, but called her Kaylor instead - which I think it cute.
goodluck!

Find a common name that you both agree on and then give your son Jackson as a middle name that way it's still included.
