To keep calling someone (once a day or so) until I get a person on the line, instead of leaving a message. The person gets a lot of messages/missed calls but forgets to call back or is busy. Also, it's always been my nature to feel uncomfortable leaving messages when I call people.
In this particular case, the person assured me more than once I'm not being obnoxious, but I can't help but feel like it anyway.
Does anyone think I'm being rude by calling at different times w/o leaving messages until I get a person on the line?

They might be busy at the time & can't take your call ... I think it's a little rude for somebody to keep calling until I pick up ... sometimes I'm at work or driving or in the fast food line ordering & just can't talk ... why not leave a message & I'll call you when I get the chance ... if you don't receive a phone call that day or by the next day - call back & leave another message ... if that doesn't work try your technique ... maybe there's a reason they're not answering your phone calls ... if you have to ask if you call somebody TOO much .. then you probably do ... !

depends on the person or the persons family. if they're ok with it, go ahead. but dont call more than like 5 times

I guess you have to determine if they are actually blowing you off or not. If they cared to talk to you they would make the time and remember to call.
