How can I say "no" to a friend and still be friends?
OK, here's the situation: My friend wants to have a party, but I can't come, I promised him that I would come but due to a sudden daily schedule change, I can't come.

Just be nice about it. Things like what your explaining happen ALL the time. Just tell him that you didn't expect the change and that you're reall sorry. Maybe even offer to hang out another time because the party isn't really whats important. The friendship is. Good luck.

Just tell him you can't come to the party and explain why. If he's a true friend he'll understand.

if its a guy.....hey, were usually good about it. Just give him the straight scoop. If its a girl, then you'll need to make it up to her...
