I would say that it is not safe only because when you try to stop and the car shakes you lose some of the control you would normally have. And also if it is bad enough to be shaking you are probably losing some of the stopping time if you have to slam on the brakes

It's not all right because that is not the way the brakes and steering should behave.

It means something is not working properly and you have no idea what will happen next.

Of course you should check it out. The car stops fine up to now, but you don't know that it will stop fine the next time. What do you expect will happen when you step on the brakes in a curve?

Your Front brake Rotors are warped. This can happen when driving thru rain or water when the rotors are hot.
If the brake pads are in good shape, you can just have the rotors turned ( If they are above the Minimum machine to size) and put it all back together.
I woulkd get it looked at as soon as possible as it is a dangerous situation for you and it's only going to get worse. Please allow extra distance for stopping until you get it fixed.

You have warped rotors . The longer you drive the more likely you will damage some other components. Have a brake job done before you hurt someone or yourself

Have brakes checked, and front end alignment done. The bushing in front wheels could also be worn... A good mechanic is what you need to see.

well, the rotors are warped.this happens one of three ways.first and least likely is they where dropped on the floor when they where new and still in the box..second and more likely is they are very cheap grade rotors that last for about as long as the cheap pads that where probably used also...third is that you have pad slapped it so many times that the rotors are to thin and cant handle the heat from braking.i would have them checked out for free at midas, monro muffler, sears, cole muffler,ect....

It's the front rotors, if it's bad have them turned or replaced - when you replace them you should probaby get them turned before you put them on. If it's just a slight shake then you don't have to worry about it right away.

Oh also you can warp rotors by having hot rotors and going through a carwash!
