Multiply both sides of the equation by 5/3 (in fraction form). Doing this eliminates the fraction in front of the x witout losing its value in the equation. You will end up with x = -4 * 5/3. x = -20/3 is the final answer.
Put this back in the original equation (3/5)*(-20/3) = -4
