House - we love to hate him and yet if we had a mysterious illness, we would want someone just like him on our side. He is a basically flawed man, who bears physical and emotional pain, in other words, like most of us. Besides he is sexy, lol.

Mm...well....I obviously would favor McDreamy. I just adore his hair and smile. But he's not the main doctor in GAnatomy, so I imagine that House's abilities were better shown in his show. McDreamy has made a few bad decisions as well, like in the episode where he tried to convince a woman with an 85% chance of getting breast cancer to not have the preventative surgery. So I would imagine that House is the better doc, at least from what has been shown (although he's not nearly as attractive as Derek!)

House because he's into looking at the symptoms and lifestyles to give a diagnosis. McDreamy is usually hanging out with his "intern/girlfriend, he okays Burke to resume surgery based on what he knows are Burkes capability. Basically, McDreamy is so self involved that he barely has time to do his job at 100% efficiency whereas, House gets his kicks from being right thereby forcing himself to correctly diagnose the problems and treat them.

House is the better doctor, if only because he won't let anyone stand in the way of his being the best. McDreamy may be a better person, but if I'm sick, I want a better doctor rather than a better person.

House is the better doctor. McDreamy is fluff and superficial .... House is substance and deep.

No contest: House is in the house!! Yes, his "bedside manner" leaves a lot *well everything really..lol* to be desired, but if I had some incredily rare disease and lived in NJ, I'd want him and the team handling my case :)
He a brilliant doctor and more importantly..he's human *has his demons and flaws but still comes across as a likeable person*
EDIT: I was just re-reading my answer and forgot to add something. Yes, I'd want House and the team handling my medical case, but I'd want Wilson handling me!!! ^_~

McDreamy (although he's not that hot) House is just a comedian who's lost his laughs.

I'd have to say House. He always solves the most complicated cases. I admire his systems of thought. I wish I could do that. =[
