i cant stand the character borat what is the point of his act? he is about as funny as the iraq war, who else thinks borat is rubbish?

You are definitely the minority on this one!!! Hottest movie out now!! All critics gave GREAT reviews!!!
My feeling is that the reason folks do not like his charactor, is because the jokes go "right over their heads"!!!
FYI...........the humor is how the people of his village see the rest of the world. And because their views/beliefs are so bizarre to us (but normal to them), WE FIND IT FUNNY!!!
Very simple concept, IMHO!!

he is extremely unfunny...but knows how to market himself...and millions of people Do find him entertaining...the joke is on everyone who buys into it.
