my wife is 8 weeks pregnant(nice one), she's not experiencing any of the "normal" feelings,ie; morning sickness, tender breasts etc, apart from a short time about 4/5 weeks in. all she feels now is tierd, is this common?????

Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. I refer to it almost daily right now and I am due Feb 2, 2007. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.

Yes this is very common, a lot of women dont experience any effects other than severe tiredness, and how lucky they are as i was sick everyday for 9 months i felt like i had a nine month sickness bug, so congrats and i hope everythink goes well and tell your wife to enjoy the pregnancy, i wish i could of.

its very common. Every woman doesn't get all of the normal early pregnancy symptoms. She's lucky that she hasn't had morning sickness or sore breasts, but as she gets further along, she may encounter some of these symptoms. Good Luck and Congratulations

Lucky for her! I was sick for the first 22 weeks constantly day and night and tell her she is sooo lucky. It is still early days, things can change - so watch this space...
