Why would anyone hate someone for being themselves? For some Homosexuality is a choose, but for many Homosexuality is the way they were born. All of the people I know that are gay tell me that if they had one wish, they would wish at they were straight. Do Christians think gay people enjoy being bashed by others, being dishoned by their families and then being told that God hates them??

P.S. Just a bonus question. Has anyone ever seen a gay person go straight???

They DON'T. The group you're seeing is an isolated, single-family-run cult in Topeka Kansas. He claims to be Baptist, but not a single Baptist denomination will claim him. Most who've met the guy say he's completely imbalanced and keeps his own family in-line through threats of violence. Just because he says "I'm a Christian" doesn't make him any more a Christian than saying "I'm a Buick" will make me a car.

It all stems from a form of personal insecurity whereby the people who profess their hatred of others are afraid they are actually very much inferior to thoe whom they hate. And of course by allowing themselves to be so full of hatred and bigotry, they prove they are inferior.

Although I might disagree that some choose to be homosexual, I can understand if a person is bi and pretty close to 50/50, they are in a postion where they need to decide. Though I woudl like to think they made their choice because of the whole person not the gender of the person.

In the absence of all the bigotry and hatred, no gay person would want to be straight. Those who say it in today's world are doing so out of fear of not being accepted and loved. The anti-gay material and even the words form the white house opposing gay marriage and other things is enough to make anyone worry about their future if the happen to be non-straight. Personally I woudl never want to change my sexual orientation; I enjoy it to much.

And to answer the bonus qwuestion, the answer is no. No one who is truly gay could actually go straight, they might pretend for a while and do a good acting job but deep down they like the same gender and that isn't goign to change come hell or high water. In fact, in recent times we have seen many people who lived what appeared to be nice straight lives all of a sudden come out of the closet and tell the world they are not straight. So, they cannot even hide from themselves for too long in this day and age.

Why do some people stereotype all groups of people and complain about their group being stereotyped by someone else?

Stop it Now, the next time you feel an urge to critcize Christians, think, it seem that some Christians do this or this or this.

PS: It is not biblical to condemn homosexuality. There are three mentions of it in the Bible. On the first two mentioning, it was treated as no big deal. Just a matter of fact. With no punishment or condemnatin from God.

Then here come the third mentioning, it was translated something like this KJB in 1607 "A man should not lay with a man as he would a woman". It was a misinterpretation of the original Bible which read, "a man should not lay with another man in his wifes layings" which was coloquial for "A married man should not have sex with another man; it would cause disharmony between him and his wife."

Of couse, Sodom and Gommorah has been credited for being destroyed because of Homosexuality in the cities. Re-read: being vile comes in many forms. Disharmony is sin in a nutshell. Most
other definitions are used my religious empires to build and maintain just that; their empires.

Because they're not right in the head and they are highly confused. People can't seem to realize that religion does not preach hatred, if it does then it definately isn't the RIGHT religion! I'm not gay, but I feel God made each of us the way he wanted for some purpose! And no, I have never seen a gay person go straight! Good luck in life and don't let true IDIOTS get you down! You have a purpose in this life and I hope you find it and are happy! God loves everyone!

Firstly, I don't think that all Christians feel that way at all. I do believe that ignorance brings this type of behavior out in many different people be they Christian or not.
To answer your bonus question, no I have not ever yet known a gay friend to go straight. That just seems unnatural and unreal.

I can't say that I have ever seen a gay person go straight, but I did see a straight person go gay or come out of the closet.
As for God hating gay people that I would believe would come from an ignorant person who has entirely way to much time on their hands.

The great Methodist preacher John Wesley said in one of his sermons that God does not hate anything that he has made. I believe that Reverend Wesley was and is correct in making this statement. I do not know why they do it----ignorance, I guess. I have to challenge them as true Christians, for hate is not the Christian way. The Bible does not teach hatred, much less the hatred of homosexuals. In Bible college I was taught that God does not hate the sinner, he hates the sin. The acts of homosexuality are considered sin, but so is sexual promiscuity and fornication (sex outside of marriage) by heterosexuals. So, if God hates homosexuals, then he must hate heterosexuals too, which means that God loves none of us. If this be the case, then why hasn't he destroyed us all? Quite often people get caught up in this cause or that cause and become over zealous without any thought as to what they are doing or what the real motives are behind the actions of those organizing the movements. Be assured, there is an agenda connected with the anti-gay movement----I do not know what it is, but I am sure one exists. My ministry is not concerned with delving deep into the personal lives of people, but in preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and winning souls for the kingdom of heaven. Jesus loves everyone and desires that no one perish. Your personal standing with God is between you and God. God has limited me to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, not passing judgment on people's lives. Reverend Wesley also said that it is best if we leave the judgment of all people to he who created them, which is God. Jesus loves you. I pray that you are not turned off to his love.

No real Christian would ever say anything like that. God doesn't hate anyone. Jesus didn't hate anyone. What they're saying is blasphemy and ignorance, and I'm sure God doesn't appreciate it. Although the bible denounces homosexuality, it also denounces hypocrites and those who judge others. We're all sinners, Jesus was the only one who ever has lived without sin, so unless you're Jesus, shut the hell up!!

Because while they yet profess to be Christian's they do not know or do they understand what the bible Say's. God tells us as Christian's that we are to hate the sin and Love the sinner. He also is real strong in telling us the battle is not ours. And that we are to Pray for our enemy, Not bash him. The Lord God said that revenge is his. So they have a form of Godliness, but no God will be found in those who offend any on purpose.

If you have the mindset that God exists and everyone knows it deep down, then you would see atheists as people who try to deny the existence of God. It makes sense if you take it in that frame of mind. You could just as easily say that people who believe in God hate reality, which would imply the mindset of believing God isn't real. This is a good example of how the way we perceive reality is heavily based on our preconceived concepts and beliefs about it.
