You're a relatively big, uh...person. So, I would think something no smaller than a 125cc scoot would be good for you. I'm a big fan of the Vino 125cc as a fairly inexpensive mid-size scoot.

The specifics depends a little on what you intend to use it for, and other issues like where you live, etc. Like, for instance, some countries make it difficult for you to get a larger scoot (500cc+) without years of experience on smaller scoots. And as far as what you intend to use it for, definitely if you have any hopes to go over 50mph, I would consider something even more powerful--say between a 150cc to 250cc scoot. Around the States, good options in the 150cc scoot range include the Big Ruckus, the Scarabeo 150. Aprilia also makes the Scarabeo250 I think, and there's the Vespa GT or GTS. All are very good options.

Lastly, if you're interested in something more versatile on highways, there's always the megascoots, like the Yamaha Morpheus and such...those are an entirely different class in themselves.
