There was an artical yesterday that he was releasing new songs after 30 years. I thought the reason why he quit was because of his religion.

It seems like he has gone through some changes in his life. He wrote beautiful music when he was younger. I think a low point was when he defended the Solomon Rushdie death sentence from Islamic fundamentalists. Maybe he is starting to get some insight as he gets older and finds out what is really important to himself.

there ae disagreements about wether music is wrong or not in islam but take sami-yuseff he sings for islam , but i guess it depends on if the music has bad intentions , bad language i guess.

why do u care what he believes in, that is for him alone, as for his musical Carrier , well, if u don't like his music now don't blame Islam for it, i think it is time for all of us to grow up and stop taking sides, if a Muslim dose something, u can not blame Islam, and if a Cristian go nuts, i wont blame Jesus.
