when i put a cd in my computer cd drive the activity lights does not go on which means that the cd will not play nothings happen if i place a cd in the drive please help.

try hitting the computer repeatavly until it starts to work

If all CDs act the same way, it's a bad drive. Even if you didn't have it hooked up to computer the activity light should still flash.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
