end the conversation. then when they bring something up, ignore them. they need to know what it feels like. then buy a banana creme pie and tell them you wanted to throw it at them but instead now you wanna share it with them. happy time happy time

You know, sometimes I just drift off. Its not like I'm meaning to ignore the person I'm talking to, it just sort of happens. I think it runs in the family, my mom does it too. Just the other day I asked my friend a question and realized half way through his answer that I wasnt listening, in fact, I had forgotten that I had even asked the question. Then I missed the second half of the answer because I had to remember why he was talking, what he was talking about and what my question had been in the first place. Its like I totally blacked out. I dont mean to, its just something my closest friends have gotten to know about me and have gotten used to, I suppose. Sometimes I even do it when I'm talking.

That's horrible! Why would your friend ignore you? That is not a friend. I'm sorry. Find somebody else to hang out with. AND IF you are the one doing the ignoring, WELL I think you should cut off ties from that person. Tell HIM/HER sorry, friendship is over. And find somebody more suited for you.

Do you mean if you're talking and you realize they're not listening? Hmm nothing really, I just say finish the sentence with a really odd end (something in the lines of... "and the janitor had sex with my mom in the bathroom"). Then you can really say they weren't listening, and I just stop talking. Unless it happens all the time, it's not a big deal. I listen to my friends most of the time, but nobody can pay attention to everything all the time.

Sometimes what you might think is being ignored may be your friend thinking through their feelings so that they don't say something they'd regret later. I'd just give them time to come around. If they're a good friend, they will :)

I'm certainly very sad about that and I tell them that it's not right to ignore me while I'm talking. If they keep doing that again and again, then I realise they're not really my friends.

ohhh that pisses me off so bad. If it's in person, I confront them, if it's on the phone, I usually just get off the phone. Obvioulsy they are too preoccupied to be on there anyway...
