They're both undefeated, they've each beaten one ranked team, but the team OSU beat is ranked 13 (Texas), and Texas has had 2 loses. The team Rutgers beat is ranked 10 (Louisville), and Lousville only has one loss.

So why should Ohio State be ranked higher than Louisville? The BCS computer ranking has Rutgers higher than OSU.

It doesn't matter that Texas was ranked 2 when OSU beat them, because that was the beginning of the season and no one had played anyone yet.

Ok, so OSU plays such a tough schedule. Lets see, the only teams they've played that have winning records are Penn State (7-4), Iowa (6-5), and Texas (9-2). Since Iowa they haven't played anyone with a winning record. Their last 2 opponents records are 2-9 (Illinois) and Northwestern (3-8). TOUGH SCHEUDLE!!!!

Rutgers has played 4 teams that have winning records, Ohio, South Florida, Pittsburg, and Louisville. AND RUTGERS HAS ONLY PLAYED 9 GAMES!!!

God you OSU fans are dum.

Look at the big ten standings. OSU has played the BOTTOM 7 teams, 6 of which have losing records. They HAVE NOT played Michigan, Wisconsin, or Purdue.

The only reason OSU is better than Wisconsin is because OSU beat Texas, the 13 ranked team (and the computer has Texas ranked 16). Besides Texas, WHO HAVE THEY BEAT??? Penn State? The coaches poll and the AP poll give teams credit for beating teams they all say are good, but the computer knows better!

KWB, you're totally full of it. Rutgers couldn't beat Texas like OSU did? This is probably a lot for you to follow, but try:

Texas lost to Kansas State.
Kansas State lost to Louisville.
Louisville lost to Rutgers.

So how do you figure Rutgers couldn't beat Texas? Louisville is ranked higher than Texas.

Guy: I agree, ranking is more than the current season, BUT SHOULD IT BE? Should OSU be
ranked higher than Rutgers because they were good last year? I don't think so.

Dude: Have you LOOKED at who OSU or Rutgers has played? OSU has NOT had a tougher schedule
than Rutgers. The computer knows that, which is why the computer has Rutgers higher than OSU.

Sigma: The fact that Iowa was 13 when OSU played them means nothing now. What matters is
where Iowa is ranked NOW. Iowa is 2-5 in the big ten, so just because some sportswriters
thought Iowa was going to be good, DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING NOW. You think beating a team that
2-5 in the big ten is more impressive than beating an UNDEFEATED number 4 team in the country?
You're warped.

I agree. OSU fans are dumb. I hate OSU, but logically the Big Ten is far a tougher conference than the Big East. Rutgers beat Louisville, much props to them, I loved watching that game last Thursday night, but Ohio State is a better team than them. But it's ok, when Michigan beats Ohio State by 14, and you hold your own, maybe we'll see Michigan vs. Rutgers in the National Championship...the most storied tradition vs. the original football team.

I also saw that the computers ranked Rutger higher, but I just don't get it. However, if you are going to say that, Michigan is actually number 1 according to the computers. OSU beat Texas, Iowa and Penn State, who were all ranked in the top 25 when they played each other. Besides that, they are a Big Ten team and have been beating big ten teams by wide margins. Rutgers plays in the Big East that has 3 good teams, and all the rest are bad. Rutgers has only one quality win and I would bet they will not beat West Virginia. Do you support Boise State being there also?

No offense to the Rutgers fans but they are not there yet. They maybe there soon but not yet. Really just watch the two teams play and you can see the difference. Ohio State just has better athletes with an equally good system. Rutgers could not stay within 14 points of OSU in a BCS championship.

i am a Rutgers fan but i have to say no. Ohio plays more difficult schools. i mean Rutgers played and beat Louisville but that was really there only challenge. i mean sure Rutgers could go undefeated but whether Ohio wins or loses (which they will) will determine if Rutgers moves ahead of Ohio.

right now they shouldn't be ahead of Ohio. Ohio verses tougher teams and has played more teams. Their game agaisnt Michigan will be their last game of the season. Rutgers has a few more games to play

No way...Rutgers played alot of crappy teams. You cant just look at each teams "biggest win of the season". What do u mean they each played one ranked team? Ohio St played Iowa when Iowa was 13 or so. Look at all of Rutgers wins, and they are all pushovers.

I actually think that Ohio States win at Iowa was more impressive than Rutgers win at home against louisville

Anyways, rutgers will get waxed by WV, since they arent used to playing good teams. Wins against south florida and ohio are not the least impressive. You said Iowa hasnt beaten anyone...who has south florida beat?

No. Rutgers is ranked about where they should be. Don't assume that just because Rutgers is undefeated this season that they should be ranked highly. Ohio State is a good team and has finished the season highly ranked for the past several years.

Ohio lost the 2nd to final activity and then didnt precisely gentle the worldwide on fire against Michigan. WV lost early on and because has been dominating human beings. In a head to head, i might wager my left pinky finger that WV might pound Ohio. the real question isn't any count number if the voters would be hassle-free sufficient to have LSU, USC and Vtech bounce Ohio contained in the main suitable ballot if each and every wins their convention championship activity.(exceedingly in the event that they roll over their fighters) Georgia is taking part in greater effective ball than Ohio became into and Kansas nonetheless they lost against a very stable Missouri team, might desire to nevertheless be above Ohio- plus Kansas is extremely exciting to observe and based on your scenerio of Illinois being ranked greater than South Florida, Missouri is ranked #a million so Kansas might desire to be greater than Ohio- utilizing your purpose that's.

Rutgers does not stand a chance playing outside the Big East. My advice is to sit back and enjoy your little unbeaten season while it last. No matter what bowl game they go to, they will be exposed as an overrated team.

because Ohio St is in a MUCH better quality conference and Rutgers could never play at Texas and win.
