I'm British, and I realise I'm going to get a list of American (and probably other) biscuits I've never heard of, so as well as naming them, could you describe them and say why you like them?

My own favourites at the moment are Cadbury's Choc Brownie biscuits, closely followed by Fox's Choc Fudge Crunch Creams, and McVities Chocolate Caramel Digestives. I also love Penguins (chocolate biscuit, with chocolate cream filling, wrapped in chocolate). Is anyone noticing a theme here?
The only definitely American biscuits I know I like are Oreos.

(Oh, and it's posted here because... um, what excuse can I use? Because there's something really gay about being addicted to biscuits/cookies, right? Well, I am, and I'm gay, so that will have to do.)

I didn't know 'biscuit' was used for something different over there, but I can't say what word we use because I don't know what it is!

Anything McVities makes. Got hooked on those when my brother-in-law was stationed in the UK. As far as American brands, I like the Devils Food cookies ..um, can't recall the name but they have a bit of devil's food cake coated in marshmallow creme and covered in chocolate. Man, I could go into a diabetic coma with those....SnackWells!! That's the name!

I like Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookies.

And Oreo Double Stuffs with the vanilla cream (not the chocolate cream).

And Fig Newtons (little cake-like cookies with a fig filling).

And Date Filled Oatmeal cookies by Archway.

Chocolate flavored cookies with peanut butter and chocolate chips. MMMMMmmmmmmm
This means we're both Chocoholics.
Not to sound like a snob here but I know alot of English lingo. I went to England for just a week but wish I could've lived there forever. I find men with English accents more attractive then regular American men.

You know..there have been several questions posted like this and I never could understand why you use biscuit. But now I see that over there it means cookie. I get it now!! But anyways, oreos is my favorite.

What word do you use for an actual biscuit?

A few years ago, when I was a sugar-addicted fat blob, my favorite cookies were Newman-O's (Paul Newman's organic knock-off of Oreos, i.e., a pair of chocolate wafers with white cream filling in between). I used to inhale a few packages a week.

Now I'm a gym bunny and don't eat crap like that.

I really haven't met a biscuit or cookie i didn't like. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate though. I really like oatmeal cookies with butterscotch chips. and oatmeal raisin. and molasses. I guess my absolute favorite would have to be regular old sugar cookies.

I don't really care much for cookies or biscuits. I will eat a choc chip one every now and then but just don't seek them out much.

lololol, none of those brands are available in the us except oreo...........to us a biscuit is a breakfast type of cooked dough. you eat it with eggs bacon etc etc or you cut it open and place meat inside it.........you may also make gravy and pour over it. i have no idea how to describe it except they're fantastic, if you ever get to the states i'll take you out for a real breakfast!
