You will not loose any files, favorites, or settings that you had with IE6 when you upgrade to IE7. Everything will be imported during the setup process. Even your default search engine is kept. :)

No you should not. But if you want to be sure, you can back the bookmarks up. Open Internet Explorer. Click on the File menu. Click on Import and Export... It will work you through exporting all your bookmarks to a separate folder that is outside of IE.

After you update, if your bookmarks are missing (and they should not be), you simple running the File/Import and Export in the new version of IE and import your bookmarks back into it.

And if you do not have to import them, it is still smart of have a backup of your bookmarks in case something else crashes on your PC....
