First off, if this car is a 3.1, putting a thermostat in this car is a pain in the @$$. If the reason for replacing the thermostat is due to no heat, I would check your coolant level. If it is low, take a flashlight and look at the engine under the power steering pump. Also, take a look at the opposite end of the engine. You are looking for wetness. If it is wet, you need to take your car to a mechanic and have the lower intake gasket replaced. The cost of replacement is approx $650 depending where you live. Also, make a request that a fel-pro metal gasket set be used. It includes the lower intake gasket set, upper intake set, valve cover gaskets, and water pump bypass o-ring. While the lower intake is out, this is an optimal time to replace the thermostat.

Are you sure you want to chage it. I would guess that is the purpose of the question. What is the problem ? Overheating ? Chances are it will be a waste of time to change the thermostat. It usually isn't the problem. NEVER replace parts till you know the problem. Don't replace the water pump either, that is usually the next item after the thermostat. Write another post and tell the symptom / problem and perhaps someone can diagnose your problem

When in front of your car, it should be on top of the engine near the right hand side. Follow the upper rad hose from the rad back to the engine and it will be under the aluminium spout.
