I don't know where u heard that, but that's crazy. I wore contacts while pregnant with both of my girls, no problems.

I have a few issues like that. I do not desire to scare you, however they are able to harm, often. Wearing them sixteen hours an afternoon 7 days per week, perhaps they will relatively harm for an hour each and every a couple of weeks. Most importantly: Take out your contacts instantly in the event that they begin to harm. I often attempt to "difficult it out," and it is only then whilst I have issues. If you've weekly/2 weekly contacts and so they harm for a couple of days in a row, throw them out considering that they generally may not get larger. Other than that, regularly I rarely observe that they are there, equal with all of my peers who put on them.

It's not that you CAN'T, it's just that they can be a lot more uncomfortable during pregnancy, because pregnancy causes a change in hormone levels, which may impact upon your eyesight. Hormones can affect tear function, resulting in reduced or blurry vision. It is common to have a transient intolerance to contact lenses, particularly in the third trimester. The problem should resolve itself after childbirth. If the deterioration in vision persists, even after inserting new lenses, you should consult your eye care practitioner at once

I've worn my contacts my whole pregnancy. Being pregnant can cause your prescription to change slightly and cause your contacts to be uncomfortable. Since you have lots more fluid in your body it changes the pressure in your eyes. Don't bother getting an eye exam unless it gets really bad, it should return to normal after the baby is born.

Not true!!! I wear contacts every single minute of every day and did through my whole pregnancy. I have heard that sometimes the eye slightly changes shape during preg and that contacts may become uncomfortable, but it is perfectly safe!!!

I wore them the whole time I was pregnant, but some people do have trouble wearing contacts while they are pregnant, just like birth control can also affect your ability to wear them. It isn't unusual.

Because of the increased blood volume(and every other body fluid), your vision can be a bit blurry during pregnancy, even while wearing glasses; but you can wear your contacts just fine.

Yes you can wear contacts but due to the changing chemistry of your body they may become uncomfortable, or like me, your prescription can change with your hormonal changes. It is not however, unsafe.

My wife wore them all through her pregnancy with no ill effects. I have never heard this before. I would pay no attention unless you hear it from a doctor.
