MY FAMILY MOTIVATES ME

If you had asked me that question a year ago, I would have replied that anger motivates me. It still does to some degree, but I now have an unconditional love in my life and that motivates me to be the best person that I can be. Because he is such a good role model, I find that I do whatever I can to live up to his expectations of me. This is a good thing, as I am naturally somewhat lazy and self-indulgent.

I ned to add though that He does not "expect" anything of me except that I be faithful and honest with him. I just find that I want to be what he deserves in a woman. That motivates me in all aspects of my life.

I try and set myself goals outside of work, like, planning to see my friends at weekend, going for dinner, see a band, shopping, going to the gym etc. As i dont really enjoy my job i try and make my out of hours life interesting. I need to save money as i want to move out though as i do tend to live for the weekend and end up spending too much money!

If it's a big job,or particularily unpleasant one I will do it in increments-alotting myself a strict time frame- while reminding myself I am this much closer to being done. Also, treat yourself after to something simple but long put off-that hike in the woods, favorite chips/dip and game etc

I think of all the good things I will be free to get on with once the things I dislike are done.

making a check list and ticking off the things i have done, and what is left to do. the joy is seeing the ticks, and even if something i hate HAS to be done, giving it a tick off, is a great feeling. sometimes making yoursef satisied with smaller things is good.

I say to myself "You can check hotmail/myspace/yahooanswers in an hour as long as you work on that feature"

I don't let myself check them until it's done.
