please tell me all of the reasons that smoking is bad for you?

i just need to know words, phrases, or facts about why smoking is bad for you or why it isn't attractive. also, what are some of the reasons that people smoke. thanks, im making a poster, and just need more ideas so that i can get the point across

it can kill you is the obvious choice not to smoke..it stinks..rots your teeth and causes gum disease and the breath ewwwwww! It looks unattractive to see someone sucking on a cancer stick. You have to huddle together outside away from everyone while you're smoking cause it isn't allowed in any public place. It can kill your loved ones from second hand smoke. It costs a fortune, you would be better off spending all that money on your family or yourself. It's very very addictive and sooooo very hard to kick. You shorten your life. Your house stinks, your hair and clothes stink and the breath again ewwww. You are limited to those who will date you, who wants to date a smoker, not many people anymore. Hope this helps a bit.

Why smoking is bad for you:
1. It causes you to demonstrate that you were a stupid kid, five minutes out of every half hour.
2. It causes litter. Check the first stop sign after any freeway offramp if you don't believe me.
3. It's the leading cause of home fires that result in fatalities. In the USA, at least 200 children die every year of home fires caused by cigarettes.
4. It's a defective product (see deaths above). Any other product with a similar track record for death of its users would have been subject to a recall. Why would you pay money for a defective product?
5. It costs money. Lots of it. Your $3.50/day could have bought you a lot of clothes, an iPod, and other things instead.

Why people smoke:
1. Wanting to spend time with someone older who smokes.
2. Already addicted, can't quit.
3. Self-destructive stupidity.

Okay, if smoking "causes" lung cancer, why is there people that get lung cancer that have never smoked and never been around smokers? Cancer, no matter what kind, has to do with mutated cells in the body, but can be exacerbated by outside forces. It is not caused by the outside forces.

Death is a good one. Lung, mouth and throat cancer, emphysema, and chronic respiratory distress are some of the medical reasons its not good for you. You also spend your life smelling of cigarettes (not realising that you do!) with yellowed fingers. Why...people smoke because its additive!
