I Have An Acer, Its Not All That Expensive and comes with loads of features like wifi, bluetooth, duo processor, infrared, 5 in 1memory card reader, dvd + Cd Writer, 1 Gb RAM, 80 GB Hard Disk etc etc.

We use a lot of Dell laptops. They're good quality and about as cheap as you can get. The Latitudes are built a little tougher than Inspirons, and priced higher. HPs are just rebranded Compaqs now, and most people aren't too happy with them.

i personnaly think HP is the best quality, but the most expansive. Dell is the cheapest but pretty bad quality. Acer is DIRT CHEAP but there laptops break if you use them for more then a few months.

i like dell. i have a latitude d610 and i think it cost about $900 with all the extras added in. i'm sure they have cheaper ones though. dell is definitely cheaper than apple and sony but is longlasting too!!
