Hi I was wondering if america was a good place to study?
I live in India and I 've heard that the American universities are excellent. I know for sure that most of the americans are really sweet and kind.....
I ve also heard that since we look a little like the Arebs we
are often considered to be one of them and sometimes ill treated ...is that true?
thank you and may god be with you, always.

About 500,000 international students come to the USA each year to study. Many thousands of them are from India or South Asia. You can probably find some students from your own city who have been in America and can tell you about their experiences.

Remember that, like India, America is very large -- there are 300 million Americans spread out over a country 3000 miles wide. So there are many different groups of people. Most Americans - especially the people connected with universities - are curious about international students and would be happy to meet and know you.

I have had many Indian students, Pakastani students, Bangladeshi students, students from Arab and other Muslin countries, and everyone was always respectful of me, and of each other in my classes.

Well, it depends on the University just like anywhere else but there are some excellent schools in the United States. I hope no one treats you badly for looking Arab, but be forewarned if you come here, there are some ignorant people. Most of us would treat you well, but unfortunately we also have some racist people in our country. All the best.

You mean Arab? not Areb! well you need a visa to study in the USA, and have your own insurance healthcover plus enough to keep yourself in the USA.
