GET A JOB! Why do you think anyone should help you fix your car, or buy you a new one? Do like the rest of us, work, save money, fix your car. It's easy. Try it.

What some people fail to take into account here is : how the hell are you supposed to get a job to pay for a car when you need a car to get to work so you can have that job in the first place. I suppose you might be lucky enough to live close by to a perspective place of employment where you can walk or bike to work but otherwise.... JUST GET A JOB is not an answer but a bunch of self-righteous non-sense that doesn't answer the question.

Anyway.
I swear I remember a program in Montana, I think a community program where they you could get money to fix your car or what not. Perhaps something like that is available in N. Michigan. Perhaps a web-search might come up with something. Good Luck to you.

Financial help for a car ? I think it is the same all over America, your bank or credit union. Unless you mean a freebie . . . That happened one time on Oprah, she gave some teachers cars, but that is the only time I ever heard of.

My advice is to go get a job and fix the car with the money that you make at your job.

A bank? There is one on-line charity that will give people a couple hundred bucks to solve immediate crisis but I don't know the name of it. I would suggest another job or a bank loan.
