So whats the SCARIEST story you ever heard?

Mine personally?
There was a former Missionary at our church who told me a story about how he was in a small African village. One day he was praying by his bed. He prayed to God that he would force the demon that was keeping the villiagers from excepting Christ to leave. He said that then he turned to his left and seen a small hunched over grey looking creature (the nearest thing I can tell you is think Gollum, but eviler) who looked up at him and said "You cant force me to leave" then jumped out the window.
Now this man was an old missionary, and I highly doubt he would lie. It wasnt just me he was telling this story, but a large group of people, so why would he lie?
I dunno, he might, but demons are one of the only supernatural forces I personally believe in, thats why the damn story scared me so much.
So the real question is, whats the scariest thing you've ever heard? BTW I'm not talkin about that one time you watched The Excorsist or Child's Play alone at midnight.

Several times I have been asleep and woken up by the feeling of something grabbing at me, and then pressing me into the bed. I try to move, but am paralized, not only by fear, but honestly can't move, or scream. I try to move, and begin to pray, when I start praying, I have heard twice, the sound of growling, and a very loud piercing ring in my ear. I then am able to move after a long struggle, as if trying to lift the demon, or whatever it is off of me. When I look around, I have seen shadows on the walls that are black and small, about the size of a midget. The shadow disappears.
One of the times, I remember this happening, and then thinking I was awake, walked into my roomates room to find a female demon named Lust laughing at me, when I saw her I grabbed her by the shoulder and told her to leave in the name of Jesus..........You may think I'm crazy, but this has really happened to me several times.........scariest feeling ever. I have to turn on the television to the Christian channel so that I can feel safe.

I have to be honest there are no stories, That scare me more then three of my personnel encounter, One was see up close within 5 feet stood a Bigfoot, But that did not scare me enough to prevent me from running at a speed that I was never able to achieve again. my next encounter was seeing a Ghost up close and very, very real And I ran appox 1 mile before I ever thought of slowing down. and then for what even the reason I was with 9 other people when I encounter a demon. That encounter turned three of the people I was with hair white as snow, and their ages were 23,27,19. That demon encounter was so frighting that it caused several people I was with to lose control of their bowel and urinary tracts. two people are still locked up in a secured place at two different hospitals because of that encounter and i was told that neither one may never get out into the general public again. And I don't give a deers butt as to whether you believe me or not for that demon was very real. And the one of the two people that were placed into one of those secured hospitals was my girl friend of 3 years. And I still go to see her once a month... And she looks much older than what her age really is. and when I asked her to go for a short walk with me around the hospital grounds the way she reacted scared the hell of of me. Every now and then the group gets together to vist those two that are in the hospital. and when we talk about that incident it still causes some of us to stand there and shiver with fright. Now pray tell what stoy could frighten me more than what I have experience in real life..............

A scary story that i read was about a man driving down a country road one evening when he came upon a young woman hitch hiking.He pulled over and she jumped in the back of the car,as the car drove off he got about 50metres down the road when he heard the car door shut only to find the woman missing.He decided to turn around as she could have been hurt, only to find her stood where he had originally picked her up.He pulled over again(why we say) and she jumped in the back again, only to find that she had dissapeared again when he got down the road.This time it scared him and he drove off,driving into a small town and going into the police station.The officer decided to go back to the where the girl had been and told the man he would follow him in his car to see if she was there again.
They set off down the road and there she was,the man pulled over with police in tow and the girl got in the back, as they drove off the officer didn't see the girl get out, but the door opened and shut leaving the passenger seat in the back empty.The man and the officer headed back to town and made a few enqueries to find that a young woman had been killed in a motorbike accident years earlier and appears in the same place every year.
There had been alot of people that had picked her up before and experienced the same as the man.
This i feel is quite scary as it is true.

Straykat you're no the only person I come across that has gone through "the choking" if I may call it that, But I haven't.
Still the worst night mare is when you try to scream but your voice doesn't come out.
The scariest story is the guy that is lost in the desert and keeps running into strangers with goat feet!

When I woke up to my blanket being flapped in my face and yanked from a top of me. Nobody was there and I was paralysed for about 30 seconds or so. I was flippin scared. Still to this day I wonder what the f!!ck was that?
