To me, it goes back to the Civil War, when the Confederacy was red and the Union was blue. In other words, Republicans(today, even though roles were reversed back then) are in many ways still like the Confederacy, pretty much all the states that were in the Confederacy are still Republican.

Why are the Blue States full of grasping persons that lack any minuscule of sophistication? Generalize a lot? human beings on welfare are literally not balloting republican because if it were as a lot as maximum persons of republicans, many welfare recipients would see their handouts disappear. This argument makes surely no experience coming from someone ridiculing red States for being uneducated.

In most other countries, the "red" party is the traditionally more left-wing, socialist party (think Russia, or the UK's Labour party) it seems strange that this group of neo-conservative are flying the flag in that colour...

The whole red/blue state thing is a very recent phenomenon. Frankly, I think they gave red to the Republicans because to assign to the Dems would too closely associate them with Communists.

since when did blue = good? Perhaps the 2 colors are used because they are opposites? & they show up & look pretty on a map instead of black & white? Sometimes people just look too deeply into nothing.

In China, red is seen as very lucky. Wives to be wear red wedding dresses.
It's good to know that your analysis of American politics is reduced to colors.

That's just silly. Our flag is red, white and blue. Don't read anymore than that into it. I am a Dem by the way and I totally disagree with you.

red is the color of power.
NO ONE is eager to go to war, that is just plain wrong.
We are hated because we are or have been superior to most countries as far as economy, jobs, choices and freedoms...
The decline of America can be directly attributed to Liberals, and their "free love, high taxes" mentality.
