Defiantly. My son has gone on so many road trips since he was born. When he was 3 months we went on a 20 hour trip from Ohio to Florida. The important thing to do is keep him/her occupied. My son slept most of the time but when he was awake I'd go sit with him and play with him while he was in his car seat. Another thing I think benefited my son was every time we'd stop (1-2 hours) just for five minute we'd take him out of the car seat change his diaper and play around with him. Make sure you're heat/air conditioner is working and you'll do just fine. Best of luck!

We took our 3 week old on a 10 hour car trip. Just stop often so baby can get out of the seat. Plan lots of extra time. Some babies will sleep for most of the trip.
go for it

We took our son to see his grandparents, an 8 hour drive, when he was 6 weeks old. Lots of stops for feedings and fresh air, but otherwise nothing special. Make sure the baby isn't too warm in the car seat as he/she may develop a heat rash or pressure sores. Check out any spots where there is pressure to make sure that nothing is developing. Good luck and have fun (once they get older, they are not so pleasant to travel with!!!).

As long as you use a good car seat and only take the baby out to feed and change when you're stopped, and doctor says the baby's healthy, you're good to go. One good thing about taking little ones on car trips, is they sleep a lot of the time. Bring a variety of toys though, and a familiar blanket with you.

We took our daughter from l. a. to San Fransisco even as she replaced into 6 months previous (and again even as she replaced into 18 months, yet site visitors replaced into so undesirable it took over 12 hours each and each and every way). She did purely high-quality. more effective than we did, i think. besides the undeniable fact that, we did ought to give up each and every hour or 2, on each and every occasion she wasn't asleep, to get out and enable her stretch somewhat, have some nutrients, get a clean diaper, p.c.. out a clean toy, etc. She keeps at age 3 to be a tremendous visitor on journeys of similar length. i don't believe of there is any thanks to renowned the way your toddler might want to do except attempting it. maximum mum and dad i recognize have reported their little ones do quite nicely, so i imagine the opportunities are very solid. If it doesn't flow nicely, the worst which will take position is an rather lengthy day. Be searching for any relax parts, so he can run round, and likewise for IHOP eating places. We knew after we said an IHOP that there might want to be replacing tables and a danger to get a speedy chew to eat; they're very kinfolk pleasant make confident that if you're staying at a motel that they recognize you're arriving overdue. a baby contained in the motorcar makes that quite likely. p.c.. a bag of prominent toys that do not have small parts to fall in each and every single position. Toy automobiles, toy cell telephones, musical toys, and gentle-up toys are all solid. nutrients also acts as a tremendous leisure, so convey a good number of small snacks. the first time, we packed the motorcar with sufficient stuff for a month, and easily later realized that we did not favor to convey really each and every thing with us. I say p.c.. each and every thing if that makes you experience smooth and delivers your self a good number of time, and characteristic a tremendous vacation!

Our one-month old baby's doctor said it was fine for us to take him on a 10 hr drive to see his grandparents. So, in your case, I would say it's no problem.

The baby will most likely sleep alot and I think it's easier to travel with an infant then with a older baby that has to be kept entertained.
