I would say no marriage has not been about having babies for some time now. Marriage is about two people who love eachother and want to live together as husband and husband or wife and wife or husband and wife. What about if marriage was no longer avaialble. as if we got rid of it all together. I think that would change the foundation of society.

Has it changed the Foundation of the Societies that have had it since 1989 like Denmark? No?
Allowing it can do nothing but strengthen the societies that allow it.

NO. Why doesn't everyone just life THEIR OWN life. Why is everyone so selfish and so one track minded?? the foundation of society came from men and women who had different beliefs than the people who ruled them...THAT is the foundation...people daring to stand up for them selves... I am not for gay marriage, I think it's creepy...but why not just worry about yourself...does it actually effect your day to day activities??? probably not.

a million i do not imagine that we are going to ever see 40 5% of relationships being gay. it isn't that prime. 2 As for falling beginning price - sure homosexuality may yet keep people from extinction by very much reducing numbers ingesting elements and generating waist. hence gay marriage must be huge inspired. that is a pity i'm not gay.

It will strengthen society. Gay couples are already out there raising families. Should something bad happen, the family units are now better protected. They will have access to health benefits, survivors rights and all the other priviledges that straight married couples enjoy.

Yes, it will strengthen it. Right now, straight marriages only have a 50-50 chance of making it. So straight folks are not doing very well in the marriage department. They are hurting the fabric of our civilization. Gay and lesbian people want to marry for all the right reasons (like fidelity and trust) so they can only help our culture regain its respect for the sanctity of marriage. Besides, it is their right as free citizens, so denying them only ruins our democracy more!

LOL That's funny!!!!
Did it when the Catholic church used to actually bless same sex unions before 1100ad?
has it changed anything throughout history? Gays and lesbians have formed unions as long as "forming unions" has even been a concept.
Marriage has NEVER been about "having babies" no matter how hard the Church tells you so. It's about love, commitment, having a witness to you life and witnessing your partner's life.
Besides, gays and lesbians' bodies still work just like anyone elses, they have babies too....we raise kids...adopted, surrogate, invetro...even old fashioned male/female copulation. Just because we're gay doesn't mean we're sterile...it also doesn't mean we're any less qualified to raise our children.
Marriages protect families, gays have families, but ours aren't protected.

NO. Gay people have been living like married couples since the dawn of time...they want tax breaks and the right to make decisions re: their spouse. How would you know the two men who live next door are married or living in "sin" - have to laugh at the sin part since...well we've all heard it before.
