I have tried the Special K diet. You replace two meals a day with two bowls of cereal. And it did work for me. But the most important thing was that I also exercised for an hour, whether it was walking, the treadmill, cardio workouts, etc. I also did an hour of pilates. I also cut out any snacking like chips, candy bars, soda, etc. and stuck to fruits and veegies when I really felt like snacking. And I eat a balanced dinner. And that really did help. Also be sure to drink lots of water, all that exercise can really dehydrate you. Good luck!

According to this scale you are at a healthy target weight. There is nothing to worry about medically wise. I think at your age your focus should be on maintaining a healthy weight instead of losing.
Out of curiosity, who told you that is overweight for a 16year old 5'5 girl? If you check any BMI calculator it will tell you that is a perfectly normal weight. Let me add, you will be most successful at maintaing a healthy weight if you eat right and exercise. I wouldn't put too much faith in Special K.

Well first of all just be confident w/ who you are and what you weigh...I would recommend just cutting out the white bread/flour stuff...I'm currently doing the same thing except I can't have sugar at the moment either. I have also heard that it depends on your blood type...like I'm an O blood type and there are certain things that will help you lose and gain weight...so the book link is below for blood type. or you could just go to the library and look up a blood type book? The special k diet may work for a bit...but then you'll start eating normal food again adn it will prolly just come back...but diet and exercise consistentley will work...and remember you have to eat to lose weight. never starve yourself. ok now that I've barely answered your question. sorry

I think you are supposed to eat Special K for two meals during the day - say breakfast and dinner- then at lunch eat a balanced meal. A baked chicken breast and some vegs. and brown rice - or something like that. I have not tried that one yet. Some SPK is pretty good. Dont know if I could stick with it for long.

Well its tasty and very affective. Your'e supposed to have 2 bowls per day (throughout the day) and do this for about 2 weeks. You should see some changes by then, but exercise along with healthy eating helps the most.
