Is it true, that once you get pregnant, you would never go back to your original shape?(of your body )

I am 32 weeks pregnant. People are telling me, my waist would never be as small as it was before. Once your waist is expand, you can make it smaller to a certain extend, but not exactly or not as small as it was before L is that true? If yes, then what do the celebrities do???? :(

You can go back to being small but you will NEVER be the same again trust me. Yes they can get their waist small but your body will not be the same as it used to be. Actually some people look better after they have a child, they have more curves etc. It also depends on how hard you work to get back in shape. If you breast feed you have to do alot of exercises for your chest because they will sag once you stop feeding. You can look great after you have a baby, not having the same body does NOT mean you will be all fat and flabby forever, you will just be different.

Of course you can, I did! Just exercise and eat well. It is a myth that your waist will never go back to it's original size, of course it will. If the celebrities can do it, so can we! By the way, anything that expands always goes back to it's original size. I have known women who have 7 and 8 children and they are tiny.
The celebrities do a lot of exercise hon. Nothing can be had with no work, you have to work hard to get your body in shape, you don't need personal trainers just a good regimen every day. Whatever works for you.

No its not true. With my son and my twins I wore the same size clothes as I did before I got pregnant after I had both of them. My girls are 2 and I have started putting on more weight but its not related to having them I am sure. I have gone from a size 5 to a size 8 in the last few months, I think because I have been eating a lot but I am still within good weight range for my height so I am ok

I think having a baby makes it harder to get back down to a small size again but it isn't impossible. You can exercise and eat right and get your waist back down. You may never get rid of extra skin from when your stomach stretches but not all women have this either. It really just depends on how well your body adjusts to having a baby. I lost all my baby weight 3 weeks afterwards but I had loose skin. It's been about 6 months and my stomach is starting to look more toned and I weight less now then before I had my son.

I weighed 100 lbs before I got pregnant with my first. At delivery I weighed 160. 1 year later, I weighed 105 but could still wear the same clothes and looked great....no blubber over the edges....With my second, 4 years later, I weighed 103 before, and 158 at delivery. 1 year later I weighed 105 again, and looked great. I weighed 108 at the begining of this pregnancy, and we'll see where I go. My point is if I can gain that much, and lose it all, there's no saying it's impossible, because I could always fit into the same clothes about a year later and not have stuff flinging over my belt!

It has to do with your genes; how much your metabolism changed, if at all; how much you gained during the pregnancy; and how hard you do or do not have to excercise to get the weight off.

I know women who got huge, some who look better, some who went overboard on excercise and actually look worse. Don't be unrealistic about your body image; it's ok for real women to have real curves.

Some unlucky women, like myself, end up with lots of stretch marks. This has to do with the amount of ELASTIC in the skin. You are born with enough of it or not. I have 3 children and one due in two weeks. I have always lost all of my baby weight, but I cannot lose the excess skin left by the stretch marks. No, I will never have my original shape again, though I do manage to get my original size back, which has to be good enough.

Good luck to you.

If you took care of your body during your pregnancy, then you shouldn't have any trouble getting back to your original shape. I have friends that had their baby and were able to wear pre-pregnancy clothes within a few weeks. The only place that may not go back to the original size is the inside of your vagina, if you have a natural birth, but that too depends on the person. Don't worry about such things! Take care of yourself and your baby that is what is most important!

I think it depends on your body shape before having the baby. I have always been small (5'8 and 115 lbs before getting pregnant), and I really only got bigger in my stomach...my legs, a*s*s, etc. did not get fatter. After I had my son, in a matter of a few weeks I was back to my normal weight....didn't even look like I had just had a baby. I hope it stays that way after giving birth to the baby I'm expecting now.

I would say it's true to an extent. Your hips expand after carrying a child. Even if your weight goes back to excatly what it was I don't think that you're ever exactly the same.

The celebs aren't the same either...but they have trainers to kick their butts into shape quick and can afford a whole new wardrobe if needed because their jeans don't fit the same anymore.

That is so not true! over half of my friends after they had kids actually ended up looking even thinner than they did before they got pregnant. Not everybody is that lucky but it just depends on what you do for yourself to get back to the body type you want to be. I think just by picking up your old routine and taking care of a baby you shouldn't have a lot to worry about. You just need to stay active and stay off the couch!:)
