I've recently become a fan of Robert Johnson, the ol Blues singer who supposly went to the Crossroads and midnight and sold his soul to the devil to be able to play his guitar. I dont really believe that, but I find it extremely interesting. Does anybody out there in Netland have any other cool stories like that, or just any info at all about the subject? (BTW not really lookin for info on Robert Johnson if thats what you think)

There's a movie called 'Crossroads' starring Ralph Macchio (aka 'The Karate Kid') that tells a story much like the one about Robert Johnson. He plays a kid who can play the slide guitar and wants to become a blues guitarist, meets up with this old blues guitar player who says he'll help him only if the kid'll help free him from his deal with the devil. You might enjoy this movie, esp. if you're interested in Robert Johnson's story.

There's this really cool book "Take a Walk on the Dark Side: Rock and Roll Myths, Legends and Curses" by R. Gary Patterson. If you're into music and want to find interesting stuff about some cool bands, then read this book. I think this is what you're looking for.
(btw, my husband is also a big robert johnson fan.)

First off you can not sell your soul to the devil for it is not yours to give away or use as an bargining chip. But I do believe that you can make a deal with the devil for fortune and fame and other things. But my problem with that is you can never trust the devil to keep his end of any bargins, for he is the father of lies. And he will screw you the when ever he chooses to, so to bargin with the devil will never be worth it never..................... The devil also knows that his time is comming and all he wants to do is to take as many member of mankind to the pit with him as he can. So now you know that any deal with the devil equals death no matter what you may gain in the short period of time that the devil will allow you continue breathing............. One more thing the devil has the knowledge of the ages behind him so it will be very, very stupid of you to think that you can trick him. So here comes a saying that is very very ancient and that saying is somethings are better off just being left alone and the devil is one of those things...................
