yes it is in the long run cause if theres a problem i n the future they will send a tech right to your home and fix it there as u watch and this is the kicker they will upgrade it to the specs that u say when u buy it so "dell it is purely you"

If Dell does it you just pay the upgrade cost. If you do it you have to pay for the old components and then pay for the new components.
Dell doesn't really upgrade. They just build it with what you select, so it isn't any work for them. You just pay the extra cost of the parts.

Hi. Probably cheaper to have Dell do it but you can customize (a little) by selecting your own components.
