He's not dead. This year, 2006, marks Jones' 51st year in country music as well as his 37th year at the Grand Ole Opry. And he is touring (see below). He has two new albums that I know of: "Jones & Haggard - Kickin' Out The Footlights ... Again" and "Hits I Missed...And One I Didn't".

He had a recording date,but he was a no-show.
