america is so obsessed with cleanliness. don't they know that the VAST MAJORITY of people for the VAST MAJORITY of history neither brushed their teeth or showered? and the ones who did shower certainly didn't shower every day. there's nothing wrong with skipping a day or two. unless you have oral sex often and your "area" has a tendency to start smelling, of course.
but not showering doesn't mean you're "dirty." it just means your body releases its natural scent, the scent that for all of history, people lived with and didn't even notice. we're also overly obsessed with clothes washing.
note: no i'm not one of those slobs who doesn't shower or change clothes for a month, that is quite a different story!!!!
we should really be ashamed of ourselves. what about people living in horrible poverty? do you think they get to shower and change clothes all the time? hell no!

yeah i think most girls don't wash their hair every day, right? that would take like, a million extra hours per year. this stuff takes TIME!
also i think showering depends on if you sweat a lot or actually get dirty.

well, for girls it's a different story. cuz if we don't wash our hair everyday, it gets oily and stringy.
yeah, i take a shower every other day. but i don't like to tell people that b/c of what they might think. i don't see the point in washing my hair everyday. but i do understand washing your body everyday. depending on what you were exposed to that day.

I think that if I don't shower everyday, I smell. We've all grown just so accustomed to taking a shower everyday to get rid of all the dirt and bacteria on us. It only makes sense to go to bed all nice and clean everyday.
I've gotta be honest though. Every now and then I'm just too tired to take a shower EVERY SINGLE DAY.

From what I've heard from the Asians is that Americans are fat and lazy... pretty self explanitory. Although, a few of us aren't fat... a lot of us are though. Also, I don't believe people shower and change clothes EVERY DAY. Maybe every two days or so, but not every day

Ok. Showering everyday is not at all ridiculous. You are comparing people who lost their teeth and got diseases because they didn't take care of themselves. Not because they thought it was ridiculous, but because they didn't have the resources or knowledge that we have today. My grandma lost all of her teeth when she was 16, because she didn't brush her teeth, she grew up during a war. Its OK to wait a day imbetween but, brush your teeth every night and keep clean, its not that big of a deal. As for people who live in horrible poverty, well give them some money and a job application! If you live in the U.S. you have every opportunity to make something of yourself.

I'm a stinker so I have to shower every day, but I agree with you about the clothes. I don't wash them until they are actually dirty.

A bunch of my co-workers have given up washing their hair and it doesn't smell bad, it doesn't look greasy. I looks like they have mousse and gell in their hair. It styles better and still looks presentable. They all bathe daily and scrub their heads, they just don't use shampoo. It works fine for them. I'm thinking of trying it.
