It is all about what is in writing . . . if there is no contract then it is considered 'at will' and either party may terminate the working relationship at will.
It also depends what state you work in, California has more stringent requirements but even there, an employer cannot be forced to retain an employee unless the termination process violated the contract, or standard company policy . . . for example: the co. has a policy of a written warning about work violations prior to terminations, and other people have had them but you were not given any warnings. (this is also a policy of a large employers but not necessarily of small companies)
In any event, there are many employers out there and you just might discover, this is an opportunity to for you to actually move up to a better job. good luck

Were you supposedly wrongfully terminated? As an employers, we have the right to let you go whenever we feel like it unless we violate a written contract or one of the federal guidelines. You do not have a right to a job. You can have a job if an employer chooses to hire you and keep you employed.

One time I worked in this bar and the manager was a real pervert, and he use to try keep me after work, but I would get a friend to stay with me. And he asked me to have sex with him, and it got so bad I burst out crying in front of him and he just told me to shut up crying so I walked out and left the bar. I never really got terminated but it shows you people who are in charge cant always be trusted.
